Date, time, location:17 November 2017 from 21:00-03:00soft/WALL/studs, No.11, Lorong 21A Geylang, Level 8, Singapore 388429
Description: XENOCTOBER arrives, too late or too early, at the centennial of the October Revolution, the seventieth year of the completion of Amelia Earheart’s solo translantic flight, the fiftieth year of the first human heart transplant and the twentieth year of the Asian Financial Crisis, and the twentieth year of the Backstreet Boys’ hit single, As Long As You Love Me. Cornelius Castoriadis by Stephen Squibb: the revolution is like a stage: people step on and off of it all the time from one side or the other.
Stage left: insurrection.Stage right: reform.Every exit, either ways, leads to the revolving doors.
A night of infidelity and performances, taking cue from alien historiographies, forming treacherous imaginations from the personal and the ‘world-historical’ to sprout foreign appendanges, unearth subterranean sensoriums, forgetting to remember the ruins of the winter palace.
